if you dont use gas its not a mig, its just a wire feed. mig stands for Metal Inert Gas or something like that.

i had that same welder too, but the feed motor burnt out on it, now it's worthless, so i got a lincon electric 135, that easy mig thing is good to learn on and it's really only good for exhaust, chare pipes, etc. definitely nice to have and better than nothing. i welded up all my charge pipes with mine, it was the first time i welded, they look like *** on the welds but hold up fine, i'll redo them one day. get it and learn with it, a good welder is gonna cost some loot, i paid 450 for mine and even that's fairly cheap.

that blu welder sucks, it starts welding before u even pull the trigger... the trigger jus causes it to feed more. get one where it starts the circuit when u pull the trigger so u can get better welds... and welding without gas = cracking welds over time and boost... i think it sucks for manifolds but down pipes and charge pips it does wonders.

Spend the extra and get gas you'll thank me for it. ---- I bought mine for $300 brand new (but I got the hookup)

like whitey said, just get the gas one because gas welds are much better, and prettier. if you get a gas wire feed you can use flux cored and not have to buy the gas, and then when you want to buy the gas you just switch out your wire. in the long run getting the gas one is worth it since the gas wire is cheaper than flux cored and it makes better welds that are more prettier to look at and being beautifuller is what it's all about.

I like my welds to be naturally pretty.

i'd go with gas anyday. The flux core ---- makes it look like you sneezed metal onto whatever you welded, and for some reason the pices i do with gas are stronger welds than the ones i did with flux.
