anybody with a flipout screen?
well i bought a duall XDVD8183 in dash dvd player with 7" screen and it will not let me watch the dvds b/c of some bs safety feature.....your supposed to wire this safety wire to your e-brake switch so you cant watch videos wile driving, and i think its bullshit.... i tried to just ground the wire which didn't work, then i tried to put in a toggle switch to act like the e-brake switch and that didn't work either , so im at a stand still on what to do...i know its just a switch but i don't know if i supposed to use some special switch or wire it differently, i tried the "unlock code but it also didn't work...can anybody help a nog out?i really don't want to hook it up to the ebrake....

Hook it up to the ground from your unit. Two options:
1. AUDIO CD METHOD (Permanent)
** Insert Audio CD
** Press PLAY
** Press STOP twice on remote
** Enter 26604 on remote
** Press ENTER
** Take out Audio CD and Insert a DVD
2. DVD METHOD (Permanent)

Re: anybody with a flipout screen?
makes sense that you would need a signal not ground. safety feature bs gets a signal when the e-brake is up and that would light up the ebrake light which the safety wire goes to. grounding it is the same thing as having the brake down, which would cause the screen not to work
