My fish are weird. One of them spends most of his days upside down(just like my dog) floating at the top of the tank and another spends his wedged at the bottom. They look like they're dead, but when you tap on the glass they move around. I guess they're sleeping.

they are goldfish....they probably have air in there bellies. They get it from gulping there food off the top. Go to grocery store and get some wheat germ and feed them that instead of food for about a week and they should be right side up lol.

yeah i was pretty surprised too. the only real difference is the salt, the substrate, and you have to keep a very close eye on ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph. and salt content, and temperature. and the food you feed saltwater fish is pretty different too. i havent really gotten to that one yet but it will be soon since i have a fish in there now. ill post a picture of it in a minute or two.

Just finished checking all the stuff. Nitrate and Nitrite are a little high, so more live rock. And Ammonia is still dropping, its down to 1- 1.5 ppm. Ph is right on. Temp was about 4 degrees too high, so i lowered the heater temp.

You can see the damsel peaking around the corner. He is really shy. Gunna have to get a background cuz seeing the reflection on the back of the tank spooks them i guess.

I found the Lion fish i want, $49.99 at a local fish store. After its totally cycled im going to go get it.

Hey boost, you have your filters backwards. Supposed to be the black thing before the white thing, not the other way around. The sponge is there to catch big particles and then they will break down and starts making your biological filter. There kinda useless if they aren't in order.

That sucks. I wanted a lion fish, but now that im doing some research, i don't think ill be able to properly care for one so i don't think ill be getting that till i get the hang of saltwater first. Then ill upgrade to a bigger tank and try it.

You sure? That's how it came and that's how both of my old ones were. I'll check it out after work.
