Wow that looks nice. Is that live rock or coral? Im still new to this and can't tell the difference. Anybody know the name of the fish in duece bigallow? the big puffy one (not a puffer). Also, i tried lemon juice, lime juice, razorblades, vinegar, clr, and that strong *** acid used to clean pools. Nothing worked on it.

I have a 45g tank, i never had fish in it, i had a 2 year old bearded dragon, one of the coolest lizards by far! untill he owned himself by digging under some rocks, which fell on him and then killed him

its a lion fish... those ***** are badass.. I wanted one but my tank is wayyyyyy to small. oh yeah did i mention they are poisonous!

THats live rock with remnants of coral attached to it. I cant wait to get my taxes, so i can start buying some more stuff to put in it. my son loves staring at the fish. at one point there was about 1k worth of stuff in there. That ---- starts to get expensive after a while. Slowly but surely you'll get your setup the way you like it. Just start buying some more live rocks and use live coral sand, its the best natural filter.

Start off small with some inexpensive fish so if something goes wrong you dont loose your investment. a cleaner shrimp, and some small crabs to keep your rocks clean.

I probably have about ~$30 invested in my tank. You guys are crazy for spending that kinda money on a fish tank.

I looked into a salt water tank, but the shop told me I'd be looking at about $1000 to get it started from scratch. No thanks. I'll stick to my $3 Walmart fish and the tank I got for free. :P Walmart fish have a lifetime warranty, too. If they die, stick them in a bag and take them back for a new one.

4 Red belly Piranha. They are much bigger now and can eat 60 goldfish a week if we fed them that much.

Where did you find the piranhas and how much do they cost to buy/take care of?

They were just at a local pet store. They are pretty common around here. They were maybe $10 each or less. 60 goldfish at $0.18 (Walmart) each comes out to about $10 and we feed them either every week or every other week.

oh god if only it were that easy for saltwater fish. I bought a blue tang for 70$ and the bitch died the next day. I phoned the store, they said to bring it back along with a water sample, (i kept my tank pretty clean and balanced) But i also kept the water from the bag it came in, so i gave them that and they gave me a new fish.

oh yeah doc. that ---- gets expensive, youve got the cost of the tank. the pumps, the filters, the sand, rocks corals, fish, and all the chemicals needed to sustain it, plus the testing equipment, it all adds up if you buy that ---- at once.
