if the car is getting hot at high speeds it cant be the downpipe radiating heat to the radiator becuase think how much air is blowing away from the radiator. have you tried drilling like 2 1/16th in holes in your thermostat around the edge of it? old hot rodder trick

Just wear gloves when handling it or you'll have itchy *** hands and arms for awhile. You can spray it down with DEI silicone sealant to....well seal it from the elements and from coming undone. Oh don't buy those little metal zip ties from DEI or any of those brands. Head to Harbor freight and you can buy like a whole container for dirt cheap. Not to mention how badass are metal zipties.
