I love how there is 75 different people saying 200 different ways you can only import a car. :1 Some say they have to come in pieces, some say they have to be converted to LHD or you have to pay a huge deposit, some say they can be shipped on over since they have crash tests.

there are a few different ways to get them in legally. then there are the illegal ways to get them in and then grease the wheel to get them registered legally.

i have seen about 50 skyline motors in the last couple years seems my freind is a nissan swap master. he owns a true sylvia. but skylines i have only seen about 3 on the roads and like 10 at shows.

I thought about getting a Skyline when I have a steady paced income but Im thinking the toyota supra is more practical. In terms of not importing it, having parts available and a bunch of other issues. Anyways , have fun wth that man. Skyline is my dream car.

Skylines are def cool. R32's are becoming dime a dozen here in Canada as they only require a out of state inspection to bring one in and they are nice car for the money.The R34 is what i want and i have to wait 7 more years before there legal here

That is because so many people like to spout ---- they know nothing about, or are trying to scam someone with more money then sense who is trying to buy a grey market car. But like someone said, in Florida you can get away with alot. The semi easy way, which is what companies like Evolution Imports in Orlando do, is to send the car to the carribian islands, take the drivetrain & doors off the car, and send the drivetrain in one container, the car in the other; declaring both as parts. Then you outsource someone to put the car back togethor for you, and have a state inspector verify that the car has 4 wheels, seats, and a steering wheel and you can go register it, and pay lots of taxes. After that you can try and transfer the title to a different state. If you wanna hate, or say this is BS, just call EI, their number is listed here; www.evolutionimports.com and ask for Frank; I'm pretty sure the charge for this service is about $10,500.

The main reason I tried to learn all of this is I bought my dad a Toyota Soarer while he was in Pakistan since they are RHD colony, and the car was $3,500 shipped to Islamabad; and he was wondering if it would be possible to send the car here. But, after finding out importing the car would cost 3x the value paid he will probably just sell it locally.
