DIY'ers of turbo KITS... thats a new one.

Do you ever look around to see how much DIY there is on this site, not directly involving a turbo setup? Homemade is in the blood in these regions. Thumbs up to henry.

A speaker is a linear motor, by using alternating current, you change the polarisation of the speaker coil and cause it to either attract or repel the permanent magnet. This is an AC sine wave. In the amplifiers we build in work (i've only been there a week so bear with me) we separate the two transistors completely, so in essence you have two dc circuits, operating with opposing polarisations. Although this could arguably be considered DC, it is in fact AC.

The voltage is constant, the current is the variable. So, speakers are AC linear motors. My knowledge is still pretty shaky and i'm quite pissed, but i'm fairly sure i'm right and you're wrong.
Blargh, it looks like you are right. My knowledge of audio is pretty shaky; I knew everything from a single transistor aspect, and frankly had no idea there was more to it than that.

I suggest you stop posting crap. It's obvious already that you don't know ---- about audio.

---

To the OP: if I find you a nice simple schematic of a small amp, would you be able to understand how to connect the elements ? .. like which leg is what on a transistor for example ?

what you need to specify is what power supply you have ... that's it.

I can make (and have made) amps, crossovers, equalizers, filters, and so on for audio stuff.

yA, and 90% of it is related to turbos or turbo setups. WWJD? tell SinisterCrx to lick nut

It's going out tomorrow to get worked over since I kinda jumped in over my head on this but the guy really liked the radio and said if I can get him one then he'll do everything for that so it's only gonna run me 25 and then just pay shipping on the two radios. He designs and builds his own pedals so I'm gonna see if he can hardwire this into it since it's gonna be used for my bass. Quick lowdown on his pedal-
"I designed this to handle the super hot input with adjustable gain control. There's an effects loop output to add on as many pedals as you like, bass or guitar effects. The pedal boosts the bass to pass through into the final mix. (meaning you can play with as much ---- as you like, and all your bass doesn't get robbed by the effects pedals) The Blend **** adjust how heavy the effects mix is."

How'd you figure that out? Was it from when I said:

Look, I know your rectum still bleeds from the reaming I gave you over what a dumbass you are, trying to sling your little boy dick about cars and tuning where you are a complete, total, and obvious amateur. Yes, I know an unimpressive amount of patchy, and in places completely freaking wrong, audio electronics. It's not what I know about, and I have zero problem admitting that.

^ lol ...

how old are you again ? ... like 17 or something .. cause what you said 6 posts earlier gave the impression that you know what you're talking about, to those who don't understand of course. Just like in my turbo thread a month ago ...

I can't imagine how much ---- you've said already, with your 9K+ posts OMG

but then, I don't want to ruin peoples' threads with your crap ... so just don't post here since you can't help the guy in fixxing his amp.

So you've got a problem with DIY ----? If so go to Honda-Tech and suck on some JDM duckbill wings, I'm sure you'd love it. Your last "sentence" didn't make a lick of sense, fyi.

Geez, I didn't mean for people to start attacking each other with this thread. See I admitted that I jumped over my head on this radio/amp project and had to hand it over to someone more knowledgeable with this then me cause I didn't feel like frying myself with this ----. Overall it ran me 65 cause I'm getting the Fat Boy pedal hardwired directly into it and that ran me 40 and then 25 for the radio. Now onto the speaker part. Think just a seal MDF made box for a 12" sub would work fine for my setup? I think I'll go with a Celestion Vintage 30 8 ohm or are there specific speakers for bass setups? Overall not too bad for an all tube powered head. Cheapest tuber powered head was a 5w Epi but those aren't too bad from what I heard for how cheap they are.
