pretty much everyone offers a pop up blocker.

do you have aim? they offer a free one.

who is your service provider, if they dont have one, then get yahoo's, aims...etc

visit download.com

is it regular ad popups, (they only popup when you visit certain web sites) or is it the annoying spyware type deal.

if it's a spyware, you can usually tell what it is by its window title;
or it will even somtimes advertise itself;
or you can look at task manager (ctrl+alt+del > task manager) and look for things that are not supposed to be running.

once you find out what type it is, do a google search on it and most likely people have remedies for it.

next step is, quit using MS internet explorer as your main browser, and switch to either opera, or firefox. only use MSIE if a website requires it.

its ad ware and spyware pop ups. i think i got alot of it out, most of it was purityscan, and theres some others too. I downloaded tizzletalk for aim, haha, and thats what put it all on my comp. I have pop up blockers, I use firefox too.

are you running xp? if so did you disable the windows messanger?

run msconfig go to services and disable messanger service. and go to startup and disable any other bad stuff.

The use of mozila firefox as web browser will be a great releive instead of using IE with all those security holes.
You can always switch to linux
