GZE comes with coilpacks stock. The stock top mount on the GZE look like a slightly bigger stock bluetop oil cooler. My 86 was nasty to drive in anything but dry weather and with the TRD 2way it made it worst over the stock open diff. No matter how many boosted rolla's I see I still don't miss my old hatch whatsoever.

Not all GZE's came with coilpacks... 8.0:1 Largeport GZE's were all distributor, Only Late model 8.9:1 Smallport GZE's were DLI which meant that they used coilpacks

Factory GZE topmounts suck, Most topmounts suck, they just heatsoak off the engine. Plus function> Everything else

I Dunno if you'll get too 250whp on a stock bluetop, most people have them pop at around 200, the factory pistons just can't take the stress... But I say give er ----.

but I already had all the stuff made so thats what I used.
And yes the FX has the older GZE that used the distributor.
And the 250 hp should be doable, if a damn d16 can do it than so can I
All I need now is to figure out how to do a supra tranny swap

problems in the rain unless I push it.

it use to be that i was the only one with a boosted corolla on here...like 4 years ago. it was hmt boosted 4agze with 20v ITBS, turbonetics t3, 2.5 dp, SDS, starion intercooler, ramhorn manny (that i cracked to ----). it was pretty fun. now i wanna restore it right, ground up and sell it on speed's barrett jackson for 250k in 10 years to all those asian kids that wanted them now. they should have madd accounting money by then. lol.
