alternative way to install head gasket?

so basically im going to go through the process of installing a new timing belt? If so, can i just use a new belt, or can i not because i didnt set the cam gear to tdc..i juyst marked it

I don't know how it is on a honda, but there should be a mark for TDC on your cam gears somehwere. When this mark points directly up, the head should be at TDC. Then you just rotate your bottom end around to tdc, install the belt and there you go.
