I used to do that to...way back though.
I was 14...it was fun, but most hackers begin to do it just out of curiousity and fun...and most of the time they just pick on someone randomly.
It isn't right though, but when you're a kid it just doesn't get to you.
I would just give him a warning, either way I know nothing on the net are anything electronic isn't safe or 100% hack proof. It's man made so it ain't perfect.

serriously nothing is hack proof, MS sure as hell isnt and your password isnt either. just think tho you are lucky this isnt an online banking account or something or you would have been fucked. make sure ALL your passwords are secure or you are just asking to be fucked. if this was a huge issue im sure jeff has the ip's of who logged in on what date and you could compair the general area of both ip's to narrow it down but it is impossable to get he exact place they were at, at the time it happened unless you get the ISP's to release the info. chances are they wont if they wont give names to the RIAA. a while back i had a network admin frind when i was in high school and i asked him what the perfect secure network was and he said one that the computer wasent plugged in to. and to this day if i have something on a computer that i dont want out i will put it on a computer that is not connected to any network with its own printer. a while back there was a poll done and it was about internet passwords and found that over 80% (yes 80%) of the people on the net using online banking accounts use the SAME password for the banking crap as they do for the yahoo account!! that is insane. and thy wonder why they get hacked into

well sinistercrx had some beef with me a while back and in a few minutes my avitar and cig where changed to the gay smiley face. kinda sucked cause i had to change it back. i changed my password too. it was sinistercrx i believe.

well, i guess good looking out robert, as far as i've ever know, sinister is a good guy, i was unaware of any activities like this, but then again, i've never had any beef with him sinister, if you have beef with someone, you really shouldn't do stuff like this, i just think it's morally wrong and although it might be funny at the time, it just gives people a feeling of insecurity on the boards, so please refrain from anything else like that, we're aware that you're capable, but people shouldn't have to be on here in fear that they might upset someone like you and then be subject to this type of action. just to set the record str8, i don't have any beef with you
