Should have saved the five bills and gotten GT35E, you're looking at best a 400-500 rpm gain in spool. Correct sizing of your turbine housing will place spool where you want it, baller bearing not needed. Baller bearing helps out TONS on hugely mismatched hybrids, like GT2540R, up to 1000+ rpms, so you can run a larger turbine AR to keep from restricting big power flow through the dinky T25 housing... but for GT35 shooting for 400-500, waste of money.

What was the problem with the GM-8? Did you ever do airflow-->airmass and unit conversion to translate that map to something familiar like lb/hrs? 400 whp was not a problem.

jd i dont consider it a waste at all. this is the last turbo il ever buy.
i told myself if i ever bought another baller turbo it would be ball bearing, so by ----, i bought the ball bearing piece. 500rpm is a descent chunk of powerband.
secondly, im sure the borg could have made 400, but it woulda been at some rediculous boost level. bah it was in my face so i bought it.

hey hpmey, i am a super fan of the B16, kinda obvious from my hatch. PM me if you want some inside tips and hear some of the bridges i have had to jump to make over 400 HP, i went thru 4 turbos in a 9 month period trying to find a better combination, my block is 8.8:1 very similar
