I just got a new methanol reservoir mounted in my trunk that is made out of aluminum. the person I bought it from said it was stainless steel. he also lied about the method of shipment I waited 2 months for it, he refunded my money after some claims. anyways
will a 50/50 mix of methanol and water cause any issue in an aluminum can? I've read that alcohol cause corrosion in aluminum.
side note should I resend payment?

Aluminum + methyl alcohol + combustion = bad. Running an engine on methanol wears it out quick... s'why I've always been a big fan of the Holley strutted steel piston design.
