Default Aftermarket shocks

I've got an 88 crx with beat to ---- suspension all around.

I got a good deal on some skunk2 coil over springs and need a replacement shock (I can compress the current shocks by hand basically).

I'm not going to drop this car at all, leaving it as close to stock looking as possible. That being said, can I get away with some GR2's or Tokico blues? Who has used these?

The car is a drag/weekend car running poly bushings in the front crossmember and home made limit straps. I just need something that isn't going to be bouncy as ---- or blow in 2 weeks.

you could probably get away with them, but gr2's are a stock replacement, so I don't favor them much. tokico blues however, i don't know about. you can pick up some agx's for pretty cheap nowadays and they are warrenteed up to 1.5" i think.

Ive got Gr2's on my Crx, all four corners dropped on generic aerospeed coilovers, must be dropped 2.5", resting on the tire basically (205/50/15's)

They ride ------- great, not very harsh at all, held up for 2 seasons no problems yet and I beat the ---- out of the car in the turns.

There dirt cheap on ebay to, I think i got all 4 for like $220 shipped

Ive heard blues are better, being as there made for a dropped car, but Ive no problems with the GR2's

Yeha me 2, 88 specific shocks arent cheap so I took a chance on them I thougth for a great price and Im ------- glad I did

Ive rode in some cars with some more aggressive shocks and springs and the ride is god damn horrible.

This setup the car feels awesome and you arent scared to take your girlfriend for a ride, and hopefully get "ridden" in return haha

W0rd. I need new shocks and I saw eGay had (I think) GR2's for like $185 for my EJ8. I have Eibach springs so it's not ridiculusly low, but man I need a smoother ride and REALLY hoping that those springs would make it ride like a Caddy. So you like them? Never even considered the fact that some shocks would be stiff, thanks for bringing that up because man would I be lit if I spent bank on shocks to be bounced around like cut springs. I just want a smooth ride and mine are almost blown from not pre-loading and weight transfer racing.
