The only thing better about alcohol, IMO, is that it's legal. If I smoke a bowl on the weekend to relax, I shouldn't hear a damn thing from anyone that drinks. I have friends that are exceptional students and smoke on a regular basis, and I scored better than a vast majority of people I know on the ACT/SAT despite dozing off during testing.
