does any one here use one for all there welding on there turbo kit

why would you want to? It's a pain in the *** to use, especially when you have a mig welder handy

yeah, i've done it lots. you can do a lot of cool ---- with a torch. what are you wondering about it?

i dunno if anyone actually uses oxy-acetelyne(sp?) to weld up a manifold. you can make it look good. keeping it from warping may be a problem.

Can you weld aluminum using that ----? Thoes are the little shitty welding/cutting kits that come with the 2 bottles right?

if it does aluminum, i'd try it out I guess.

I'd like to know if it weld aluminum, because it will be a long time before I can afford a miller Tig, this way if it does weld aluminum, I can make this and that for myself.

I believe he's asking because he doesn't want to use a welder that you have to plug in. His electrical is very old in his house, and he keeps blowing fuses and ---- with a MIG welder. A torch would be a good thing to use if this is your case link, but I would try to find somebody locally that would be willing to show you a few pointers. Maybe some people on here could at least get you started with the basics.

thanks thats the exact problem i have is the house but thank u i mine and a panel install in the shed for a 120 with like a 100amp fuse and all i dont know

Put in a breaker box and do away with the fuses- at least for your 220.

just pull power from where your fuse box gets it, and run a big *** wire to a small breaker box. Then you can add more breakers as needed. It would be much safer that way (All new wiring instead of trying to run big power through old wiring and a fusebox), and you could leave the rest of your house on the fuse box.

I had to run an extra box at my house like that when I put in my compressor. I put in a bunch of smaller breaker in also that came in handy when it was time to add llights to my basement. you tend to always need to expand with wiring, so might as well expand only once.

Just make sure you have the power turned off when you hook up the main power line, that ----'ll kill.
