The only people that new what was in there were the plumber and his fhelper couse we went in there to look at the sinks the other day.I hate to jump to conclusions but what are the odds of someon just taking my trailer only to open it and find $25k worth of kitchen equiptment inside.

This will only slow us down but it wont stop us.Ive never failed at anything in my life so this is just a bump in the road.If nothing comes up in a few weeks we're going to have to buy more ----.The only good thing is that if its not found I can write it off as a loss
DUDE your starting a restaurant.. you have no need to write any thing off cause all you really have to report is credit card tranactions.. my buddy owns a local cuban joint and he says the place pulls in 200k a year.. which is maybe 250k off of what it really does. any how sorry for your loss man.. I like mexican food.
Writing it off would be to his benefit. When he writes off the 25,000 dollars as a loss, It will be counted as an expense for accounting and tax purposes, which will lower his net income by 25,000 g's. Which is a huge ------- tax break, not to mention a big tax deduction which isn't a bad thing for a business in its first year of operation.

douche, you hit the nail on the head .

And slowpoke, there was no reason for it to be towed but we checked anyways.

My wife spent a few hours calling used kicthen equiptment retailers(like 20 places) to make them aware that there might be some people trying to sell our ----.

Reality set in today and we were out shopping(just getting prices) for new equiptment. We plan on opening by the 14th of may so we have about 2 weeks to waite and see if our stuff will come up.If it doesnt then its time to empty the bank account and hope that we start off doing ok.

Damn, what are a couple of thieves going to do with $25k of kitchen equipment?

I think thats a bunch of horse ----, what the insurance company told you. You were paying to have it insured right? Then why are there stipulations on where it needs to be for it to be insured. Where would it have been okay for it to be stolen? Seriously, would they rather you have it all sitting there out in the open in the middle of the ------- road, than in a trailer? Or did they need to rape you in the *** again for insurance on a storage facility.

I hate insurance companies, and everybody else should too. Basically they sold you protection for something they never planned to reimburse if it were to be stolen. Bullshit.
