About Freaking Time - Slightly Good News (PICS! 56k warn)
Well, 4 engines later, I am mobile again.
The z6 ended up having some pretty bad damage to the block from a spun bearing, so I opted out of putting that back together.
So now what am I running...
D15B7/Z6 Mini-Me So damn lame. I'm too ashamed to even stick my HMT decal on.
Anyways, I'm scared as hell to get into the pedal for the fear of rods coming out places they aren't supposed to, and for the time being I have to stay completely out of the throttle because of a stupid head gasket. If I rev at all even under no load, pillowy clouds of white smoke everywhere!
So the slightly better good news...
...I went back to work today! The lay off is officially over and I should be coming back into a nice raise too. You know what this means. Turbo parts...mmm. First I just gotta make sure my power doesn't get shut off.
And to make the thread official. Pics of what started this whole mess.
This is the longest oil return you'll ever see. Don't worry I cut it down and put some steel braiding over it.
Warning, this is not the recommended way to remove your honda motors.
Or even worse, remove the board. I wonder if the block is re-useable, hehe.
This is the y7 that I got that was no good. I need to tear it down and see if its salvagable.
Theres the ACT HD Pressure Plate and Exedy Disc from mycrx. Still holding strong. Definitely worth the drive to the Dalles.
Anyways, I need to buy a camera, these were all taken at beerbongs house and I've done 2 more swaps since.
