was looking at building a z6 block but came across a free a6 engine w/ a blown HG.
anyways, what are the differences between a6 BLOCK vs. z6 BLOCK ?? simple ??

a6 block has a stronger girdle i've heard.

a6 uses 88-95 d15bx waterpump/motormount

pistons are different obviously

same crank, oil pump, rods, etc.

get it, i love a6, id trade my blown z6 for a blown a6 haha

take it and build it. later if you want vtec again swap the z6 head on and up the compression a little

what im going is building the block w/ tt rods, vitara pistons, king bearings and etc. and im going with a z6 head for some mad tyte VTACH ! ! !

so all i wonted to know is the difference between the two blocks. ex. oil pump, water pump, sleeves and etc.

Go with the A6 and slap a regrind cam in the head.Vtec is overrated.

how high can you rev the stock a6 head ??

Not sure.I would guess around a little less then 8K?
