Well my friend just bought a 91 civic dx for 100$ and it has a tranny problem. It only works in 4th gear If i put it in neutral its really in 4th?? There is no neutral unless you push the clutch in. It will go in the other gears but wont move. You can kinda feel it trying to move but wont. What could cause this?? Now a couple of his motor mounts are broken and the motor is pretty lose in there maybe how lose it is fucked up the linkage or something?? But i dont know?? So what could cause this??

Jack it up and verify that the linkage is actually moving through the gears.

thats what im going to do tommrow. He just brought it by a few minutes ago. Im just trying to get a heads up for now if thats not the case.

Just buy an si tranny, that will cost like a whole $50? lol its just a d series, they are easy to find...Good luck!
