yup. a 6 to 2 downshift on a 1000 is ------ pretty knarly. but a 6 to 4 6 to 3 downshift doesnt put you in the meat like youd need to be. thats why alot fo bikes get beat by cars that shouldnt beat them

Well finally getting close to done with this thing.I keep running out of money but I think i got enough for the rest of the odds and ends now.The only things left now are install shifter/linkage,wire up last guage,make a battery tie down,make a throttle cable bracket and figure out the alternator/belt/bracket setup.I will add some interior shots tommorow as it is pretty much done now.

As you can see the rad support will not fit back in so i had to go to Princess Auto and get some APC hood pins Thank god they were only $4.88


Here i have to ---- around a bit as im using a D16 alternator,B18 bracket and belt which doesnt work out so Im gonna have to get a shorter belt and grind out the opening of the bracket a little.I guess having a Teg alternator would have been better.

I belive you take a d16 top or b18 not sure bracket and atach it to the exsiting one for a extension. We used it on my bro inlaws setup works fine. car looks freaking mean. looking forward to slips on the dyno and track. how much hp you shooting for again ?

I have a *** load of D16 parts here i think i know what you mean i will go try that in a couple minutes.As far as HP im not sure i have to tune it myself and the local chassis dyno has been sold as the owner moved.I would like to get a low 12 out of it this year and then next spring i will take it south to a tuner and get a chip burned on C16 for the track hopefully around 350-400whp.If i could get 300whp out of it with my tuning and not crack a sleeve i would be happy for now.

So to finish this project off, I ended up parting it out and sent the CRX to the graveyard.One sawzall and one set of oxy/acy torches powned the CRX rather quickly We then loaded it in the truck and took it out to the local Indian reserve to dump it minus Vin numbers
