You should join al-Qaeda, they have the same ideals.
ignnnnorant statement

nuking japan saved millions of lives on both sides.

if we had to WE WOULD HAVE taken japan conventionally. it would've cost a lot of lives though

Wow, I didn't see Dx 101 saying anything about saving lives by doing it. Could have fooled me!

Read before you speak, it'll probably save you from constantly looking like a try-hard martyr.

If we didn't drop the bomb I wouldn't be here right now. The bomb saved countless lives.

if you studied history the point of the bomb was to save lives. The use made a pack with the allies that if we help them fight the germans they would help us fight japan. Neither of us wanted to lose anymore lives so we had a solution that would put a stop to japan. Yes maybe innocent people were killed in japan but its logical to lose thousand of lives than millions.

My original comments only pertained to the view that Dx 101 expressed, being that innocents do not matter. Reading what Dx 101 said, you would notice that he did not mention, nor acknowledge, the idea that what was done actually saved lives. Now, anyone who dabbles in English would understand that from the given set of parameters, nothing could possibily point to a view when it comes to whether the nukes did or did not have purpose.

Basically, you brought up a point that had no relevence to my comments. I only made fun of the idea the innocents do not matter, that does not include any stance on if the nukings saved lives.Woohaa, gotcha all in check..

RS, BD, and everyone else who thinks the bomb stoped the war...

read this..

http://www.army.mil/cmh-pg/books/70-7_23.htm

IMO, they could have told japan to "clear out" the cities, a day ahead of the dropping of the bomb. and if they didnt comply.. then the hell with them..

the targets were not pre meditaded... i saw on the discovery channle a while back.. that they were flying out to a target.. and cause it had clouds.. they changed course and dropped it somewhere else...

i too thought it ended the war.. till my friend sent me that link... and it was one of the first times i admitted i was wrong and i have done so a couple times after that...
