Default 5.0 lovin

after replacing header gaskets, tightening up collectors and whatnot, i finally figure out that my leak is from my intake manifold and not my exhaust!

i went to some races with pat and lose to a basically stock 5.0 (exhaust) vrs me with 3.55 gears and headers/exhaust i knew somethin was wrong, i put the car way up0 on jacks and started it and got underneath... lookin around for the leak... oh there it is comin off the back of the engine, puff puff puff air comin out of the IM. horray no wonder it feels like more of a dog than usual. while i was workin i also noticed i had a vacuum leak... lol

*CAUTION FAN*

i feel so lucky, after removing the IM i found out that i won a prize! there was a peice of plastic, a vacuum cap or something layin inside the engine :/

this is why 5.0 IMs leak oil out of the back sometimes. this ------ 4 peice gasket set, usually i would smother these front and back gaskets with sylicone, but i didnt have any and didnt wanna go buy some lol.

yes i did finish the job, i just forgot to take a finished pictures lol.

misc pictures lol, this is how the integra stands. d'oh i forgot to take pictures of my block i just got back from the machine shop. will be put back together when i get around to it!

Glad ya could make it out last night. It was a pretty big turnout, but not that many people were actually racing. **** should have the video up in a day or two, he got you racing Jim (other 5.0) and doing your burnout, but it was pretty dark so it's kinda hard to see anything. Your car does sound pretty sweet though.

for a crack like that couldn't you add a spot weld on the crack since it's in the back of the cylinder and doesn't come in contact with the piston?
