i agree that we need a write up on doing bearing clearances. and where can i find the plastic thing that measures the clearance. i know that you slip it in then torque to like 45 foot pounds then pull it out and use the reading, but aside from that, thats all.

oem bearings own, period. and as far as stock sleeves, plenty of 500whp with stock sleeves that have lasted over a year. 300whp is stock block material. if you've got pistons/rods in a b series, i'd shoot for a minimum of 400 on pump gas. so what happens if your acl's are too tight, pay to get the crank machined? what about if they're too loose? take an *** raping and pay for more bearings? btw, plastigauge blows *****, precision tools own you, but it's better than nothing i guess
