No... not that much, you cant put the r34 motors in bc they're 4wd only the r32 and some of the r34.

or you can get a sr20det redtop. cheaper.

Just find a cheap 240sx. My friends did the sr20 swap bc it was cheaper and more simple. I only know about one guy with the skyline swap but i dont know much about it.

thats ------- stupid; $3k for a nice 240sx (factoring in ricer markup) then another $3k for a very overrated engine (sr20) and then you still have to buy parts to make it quicker (ever seen a straight sr20 swapped 240 run a quarter? they'll get laughed at).

A good condition Z32TT can be had for $6-$8k + a few hundred in mods and you're in the 13s reliably in a much nicer car than a 240. Spend a few more dollars on bigger intercoolers; injectors a clutch (you'll burn the stocker up in now time w/ intake/exhast/computer) and another rom on the computer and you'll be in the 12s on teh stock turbos.

i didn't read the thread but don't buy a tt if your going to upgrade the turbos anyway, buy the NA one and do a swap or whatever because insurance on a tt is killer. That was one of the main reasons my friend bought the NA one with plans to put turbos on it but he ended up paying out the *** for the car anyway...

again no; an na-tt swap isn't easy or cheap by any means; a lot of the parts you'll need to do it are EXTREMLY hard to come by and the stock TT longblock is good for a lot more hp than the stock turbos will ever put out. Also with most insurance companies the insurance is the same or just slightly different between the na and tt.

Id say...Yay IF....

It was a second car, and if you have a place for it to sit and tear it down for a month or so.

Like everyone says, the car is a bit .."tempremental" to work on, and requires an enigne pull for all but the most basic maintenence.

If you do buy one, you will need to overhaul it, and replace the gaskets/vacume lines/anything leaky. The close quarters in the engine compartment means that the turbos heat up most of the engine bay (not as bad as an RX7 though) and the hoses and vacume lines tend to degrade over 100,000 miles.

But if you can handle tearing it down, the car is a huge bang for the buck. The V6 is a pretty stout Iron block. and it responds really well to the usuall big turbos/injectors upgrades. I think the internals are reliable to about 600hp (but dont quote me) as long as its tuned halfway good

Try to pick up a pre 94' w/o the 4 wheel active steering and if you spend anything close to 10k$ then that baby better be mint.

Dont mess with hybrid Nissan crap, just stick with the engine in the car and build off the platform, it will be more then enough.

I have a 91 glacier white pearl with dual greddy stainless exhaust, and custom wheels. It came with a custom colgan bra, and it looks like an exotic no foolin. Oh, and yeah it is the tt model. It goes from 20 to 85 in about 2 seconds. I don't care what you do to a neon, or civic. Pimp it out all you want with the fart cannons and wings and crap.... you can't touch a tt with either one of thos.. NO SIR!!! Best bang for the buck.. Supras are fantastic, but you gonna spend tons more for it.
thanks for bringing this back from the dead...

I think the 300zx and supra both look nice imo. But there no need to hate on the civic
