Yes. They do bend over and take it for you. But they broke it off in you to begin with so it works out.

They said the input shaft that drives the oil pump (off the cams) jumped a cog..
my dad has hated the car (sort of) ever since..scared to drive it hard , doesn't let me drive it at all anymore... Thinking about dumping it for a ZR-1
by contrast his 94 RS America with 80,000 miles gets beat on , raped, abused and never misses a tick. Needed a clutch and flywheel once, valves need to be adjusted..thats it.
POS 997...but they stand behind it.
Disclaimer for haters: He has money ,I am broke as ---- , eat mac and cheese and most of my "performance parts" come from the wrecking yard.

if you use the launch control once. it voids the warranty. they hyped the launch control, and the launch control is what makes it decently quick

VDC is a generic industry term...
I know on Subaru's and GM's it basically ties in the ABS system to the traction control. If the car sees one wheel moving faster then the others , it kills engine power (hence limits wheel spin)
on the GTR it also uses YAW sensors and all that kinda bullshit to calculate maximum lateral acceleration and adhesion.
We had a guy come out to an autocross with a GTR a few weeks back , he was running R compound tires and expected to kick some ***.. he didn't....
The computer didn't know what the ---- to do with the additional grip , so it kept cutting power.... even with the VDC off.
the car is neat , but just over complicated.. GM builds a knuckle dragger with leaf springs thats just as fast and costs far less to manufacture...

Ive driven an F430 and it was pretty sweet in its own little N/A way, but def not worth the money when a Z06 with a 50 shot or a 997 turbo with a chip would smoke it.

The aircooled 964 block was the best/strongest ever built. There's a reason the GT2/GT3/Turbo still use it.

Ferrari's are utter CRAP ....
Im sorry , great to look at , nice sounds.... but horrible maintenance wise and need to be rebuilt far too often
there is a reason u see 20 yr old ferrari's with 10,000 miles on them
Ferrari should use D series with Holsets...
