I'm 23.Like take example, One day i work up and said to myself, "Self your going to learn something you'll never need to know and today that subject is quantum physics." so.. i did. i read and learn more and more as much as i possibly can until there isn't much more information regarding the subject. and move on to the next subject.
like take example a few months ago i read about an interesting topic that I'm surprised it never made it to totally public main stream media.

If you have some superiority complex and this makes you feel comfortable, that's fine, but know it's not true. Only people who have never set for in college for more than 2 weeks will tell you it's a "Bullshit piece of paper". If you don't think that there aren't wacked out professors at college who are into what you're into, you're wrong. The problem is, no matter how hard they try, they can not prove any of these claims.
You were in the military, correct? Go make good use of that GI bill. If you think you know more than a fraction of anything you've read up on without applying that knowledge and pushing the ---- out of yourself, you haven't learned much of anything. School does serve it's purpose, and the connections professors can show out, which wouldn't be made in your books or through your own research, are very helpful. To think that you can absorb several thousand lifetimes of academic study in every field through reading alone is an arrogant assumption.
