I think people are overlooking the mclaren part of this equation. I for one would MUCH rather have an F1 (I know they're not in the same class, but still).

Why anyone would buy a ferarri, lambo, porsche, mercedes is beyond me when there are juicier names to be had. Sure everyone recgnizes the emblems and styles of those cars, but wtf if you're gonna get something exotic then get something exotic.

bugatti
koenigsegg
maserati
older vectors.
or ----, one of the group B cars from back in the eighties. rs200 anyone?

In otherwords, if you're gonna drop anything over 150 large on a car, why in the ---- are you going to goto the dealer down the street? You better be importing that ----, wherever it comes from.

Maserati must be pretty damn exclusive and better than Ferrari when Ferrari owns it.

Are you saying the SLR isn't exotic, you are outta your mind. The car is stinkin' hand built in it's own plant and will only have a limited production. SLR can't be compared to no normal Mercedes SL, or Porsche or Lambo or Ferrari. If you compare it to Porsche it is as exclusive as the Carrera GT, other than that Porsche really don't got nothing on the level of the SLR.

I didn't mean that the slr isn't exotic, it is. It definately fits it's niche; just saying there are more options.

honestly i am a ferrari (enzo) guy but for over 150k there are two options:

the lingenfelter tt c5 corvette soon the tt c6 corvette

or the NISMO r34 GT-R Z-tune (and it happens to be a skyline)
low 10 1/4 mile, over 500hp, all wheel drive, hand built and looks sexy
