Default 2006 Import Drag Racing Series at Pacific Raceways in Kent Washington

Guys I need your help/imput. Pacific raceways and Intec Racing is trying to work out a schedule for a import drag racing series for 2006. We need to come up with 4 different clases and 1 event per month. We would have cash prizes for each event and also a point scoring event and keep track of all the points for one big prize at the end of the year.

Entry would be $25 and if you want to enter in the points/cash series would be an extra $10.

We need to figure out if peeps in the area are interested and what clases we are going to run. Some clases that I thought of.

- all motor class ( no nos ) eng. swap, slicks, race gas allowed.
- forced induction/one power adder (ie. turbo, nos, supercharged) eng. swap, slicks, race gas allowed.
- street class (no slicks, no race gas) eng. swap or one power adder allowed

Let me know what other ideas you guys have. Thanks. 98ctr.

But DOT rated slicks are cool in that class right?

you guys thought about breaking it down into 4/6cyl or FWD/AWD/RWD?

I think that would be just fine, considering its still a DOT approved tire.

i really wish people would create a class where you can have an engine swap and 1 "power adder"..

forced induction = people with fully built swaps running 20psi

why don't u change the street class to allow the eng swap AND 1 power adder? pretty please :P

this is just the begining, but we do need to move quick with this one, if we want to have it ready for 2006. Pacific Raceways is givin us this opportunity and we need to jump on it and ride it out as long as we can. Otherwize they don't seem to interested in having any more import only race days.

We will most likelly have about the same classes as BOTI, but since we can do what we want, we need to come up with something that will atract the most people to come race.

I want to have a true all motor class. Where you don't run any nos. You would be able to run slicks, race gas and engine swap from the same manufacture and same number of cyl's as your car.

I also want to have an all street class, where you have to have all the interior, all glass windows, race on pump gas and dot approved tires. You can have a engine swap from the same manufacture and same number of cyl's.

Another class that I want is the forced induction, where you can have a engine swap from the same manufacture and same number of cyl's. And you are only allowed one power adder. So you can run turbo, supercharged or nos.

And I guess we can have another class for whatever you want to bring, awd, rwd, 6 cyl, 8 cyl, turbo, supercharged, nos, or what ever you want to run.

But we need to have at least 6 cars for each class in order to be able to race in the series for the year. So we need to decide on what classes we want, so we make sure we include everybody that wants to race.

I really don't want to leave anyone out, and not be able to race. Thanks guys and with a bit of hard work we should be able to have this in 2006. Stefan aka 98ctr.

street class should be allowed to have more than one power adder since a lot of street cars do

bracket or heads up?

honduhs only?
