does anyone run an oil pressure gauge? and has anyone fucked the sender up ever. because I have one and I think the sender unit died. it flickes like madddddd or I have a really bad short. I yanked the wire pretty hard on accident.

maybe u should try tracin ur way through the wire u yanked on.. .thats what id do.. or many u need a new sending unit it sometimes happens...

hah, fiero oil gauges are known for that ----. i have an 86 SE V-6 and its gauge bounces like an epileptic running a jackhammer. i think there's just a short in it somewhere..

not just fiero's, but pontiacs. My friends grand prix (90 LE) did that too.

Anyways. "I like pizza" check behind the block near the oil filter where you tapped into the stock oil sending unit. Mine was doing that and I found that the fitting had cracked and oil was going all over my block.

Maybe you pulled WAY too hard and warped the block? The intermediate shaft to the pump might be pulling out and only hooking up occasionally. Never know with them GM products...
