318 would work if you are on a tight budget, wheelwell headers, stick tranny, the problem with teh velocity stacks is the multi carb setup is big dollars, cheaper to fing a junkyard 360, re-ring, bearing and gasket it, mild port and valve job, cam and spring kit from any magazine vendor, econoline van front end for your straight axle, moon tank on the nose, single plane intake, bg carb, then an old style breather from a swap meet or e-gay....tin work on tHE INTERIOR, old buckets covered in vinyl, swap meet guages, soem flat black paint, repop speed equipment stickers, and voila, fun, retro gasser.....

Might just go rat rod with it and see what I can get out of the six. Someone has to have gotten one to go fast at some point. Car is in really nice shape on the outside, looks like the guy just didn't have the time or $$ to put paint over the primer.
