i agree with josh, if there is an abnormal sound coming from the motor that's not right..... it's probably coming from the bottom end..

could it be the injectors? you couldnt hear the injectors before because of the exhuast? I know my DSM injectors are pretty loud.

damn it did sound like it was comming from the injectors. i just woke up ill go check it out. if it is damn there loud.

the shop beating on it also crossed my mind and i wish i would have checked the odometer but i've heard nothing but good about them from others in my area

good call nick, went out there with a long *** screwdriver to the ear and it really does sound like the injectors. there pretty loud if it is

kinda OT but there was an ext warranty guy at the shop a while back checking a car the customer filed a claim for and he used the screwdriver trick to check a wheel bearing noise while the car was in gear up un the lift. i was waiting for him to slip and have the screwdriver hit the wheel and get jammed in his ear.
