Yeah cause Hondas main concern when building the S2000 was how fast it could go in the 1/4 mile And if your running 15's in an S than you need to buy an automatic
lots of people run 15 flat+ in them, bad launches.

but i dont see how hard it could be to launch a torqueless car.

well i guess it could be hard, not BOGGGING it :-p

You can't blame the car for the face that people can't ------- drive.

Stop with the stupid ricer comments. If you don't know how to drive thats THE DRIVERS FAULT NOT THE CAR. Make all the excuses you want but if you can't drive a car to its full potential than its YOU not the car. Ease of drive my nuts The S2000 has way more torque than any GSR, Type-R or SI so are you saying that all these cars are too hard to drag race with? And as for the S2000 being way overpriced compared to the Mustang well just compare the two: A Mustang with all the options as the S2000 has a retail of $31,175 compared the the retail of the S which retails for $32,950. And we don't even need to compare the fit and finish of both.

a 05?

im sure they are on par and id go with the 05 gauge/interior

any torqueless car is hard to drag because there is a fine line between bogging through 1st and spinning tires with a clutch drop

I would have to agree with johnny in this mod E-arguement. For some reason, I really like this modern "american muscle" that has been comming out. for some reason... I also agree with what ravage said about "if imports came out with a large displacement motor it would own all domestic" -look at the new toyota truck, it came out hard and fast, and it looks to be doing pretty well in the truck class. Now if the imports wanted to build a car that went straight and thats all (as american muscle thinks) it would kick some serious ***. ~IMO. 99% of imports out there are not intended on straight line driving. Look at the stats on all of the cars, in the slolom imports kick domestic ***. in the stright line, domestics kick import ***.

Bacially, it all boils down to what your preference is. If i were to buy a $25K car right now, it would be between a used evo, a new mustang, and a SRT-4. Most of you will say thats comparing apples to oranges to grapes. but when you put all 3 next to each other, they all stand up pretty nice to each other.

mustang

evo (i would buy used for price reasons)
http://www.intellichoice.com/reports...15894/type/new
srt-4
http://www.intellichoice.com/reports...15665/type/new

all vehicles priced within about $5000 of each other, and all compare about the same to each other in all performance areas.

[img]http://it costs 25k brand spankin new. gimme a break.

what import car costs that much and is that fast.

STis and EVO8s are 35k and can barely beat this car.[/img]

well around here you can pick EVO's and STI's a bit cheaper.

Who will win in the snow though?

In my opinion the SRT-4 for the money, 19k, was the best performace car out until the mustang came out. The gt for 25k has a lot of potential, and might be the best new car as far as performance go for the money, but, like mustangs in the past, there will be way too many of them on the road and will become boring. At least here in Florida, they are a big rent-a-car, well car , and there's way too many mustangs on the road.

what are you tryin to say? "i ran a 12.7 for less than that"

good for you, you also arent in a brand new car, that is unmodded.

if you cant run 12.7 for less than the cost of any brand new car no matter what it is, you are a ------ idiot.
