*UPDATE* The Day of Paint has come... some PICS
Alright guys I thought I'd share some of my adventures today. I stayed up all last night to do this and began spraying the basecoat very early this morning.
It has some runs (as does every can) but for base/clear in a pretty dirty garage its not bad at all. This color is simply amazing up close has a ton of metallic. Everyone said paint before turbo so I am lol...besides I have a 3 day weekend here and I still have a lot to do with the body kit before I can spray that early tomorrow morning or the following day.
Enjoy, more pics to come as it goes along.
What the car looked like before I tore it apart last night when I got home from college.
Some basecoat...
Me with my spray gun & paint suit, bonus of the dirty cluttered garage!
ooooooooo clear coat, the fun stuff to spray!
Another shot after clear coat
Pulled it outside after drying a while, I wanted it to set in the sun to fully cure.
The white pieces on the hood are ash, one of the neightbors decided to burn leaves. I had to move the car oh well....
Anyways hope you enjoyed it, I should have the rest painted by the end of this 3 day weekend and all together.
This is a day I dreaded for a long while yet anticipated. It could have gone better but overly I'm happy with how everything is turning out. Back tot he garage I go. So much to do....so little time!
Ok here are some more. This took longer than expected so the car is not back together Anyways I just painted these a few hours ago.

To everyone that asked, yes I have done this before. I have shop expereince as a painteres helper and a bodymans helper. I also have a degree in auto collision repair from Ferris State University and I'm certififed by ASE in paint as well as some other collision areas.
As for tips I would suggest putting your first coat of base on very lightly. I made the mistake of running this particular color and having to sand it and respray after 30 mins of waiting....set me back a bit.
You want to keep your gun approx 6 inches from the panel. Get your face right into it so you can see where you are spraying. 50% overlap is a good technique to use.
My garage is set back 100 ft from the house so I dont have to worry about the fumes getting inside. I keep a fan that blows air out a window...its not great but it helps greatly. This would be the third time I've painted in this garage like this. The next car to be completed will be my fathers 79 trans am.... formerly mine but anywho thats next.
The paint I use is Valspar...its the commercial line for the company that makes house of Kolor. Seems to have worked for me in the past and its not overly expensive.
Thanks for the props, its been a lot of work throughout this summer and its finally paying off.
Oh yes my neighbors burn leaves. You can here in Michigan. My county only requires you call and ask for a permit...permission is given right over the phone.

Nice work. It looks good for a home garage paint job. And like you said runs are normal with any paintjob. Nothing a little wetsanding and buffing won't take care of.
I just finished painting my car about a month or 2 ago in the spray booth where I work, and even then I still had dirt specs in the paint. It's unavoidable, but no big deal.
