Default *** updated w/ pics*** back on the road! NSFW

ok,
as some of you know, i recently had some problems w/ overheating and lifted my block @ 15psi due to having the headstuds heli-coiled.

well, the rebuild is done, installed, and running. i took it for a 30 mile drive today to break in the rings @ 8psi today.

the block was bored over .02" and was filled prior to doing this. i have no guts in my thermostat and the temp did not go above the cold mark.... kinda sucked w/ no heat, so i'm gonna put in a new T-stat this weekend. approx 400 more miles and i'll turn it back up to 15psi...... WOOHOOO (but when i turn it up, it WILL be on the dyno!!!!)

i will be adding mor pics this weekend ... to lazy to upload

It looks like the block is filled, not a block guard. Which head bolts did you use

it's not a block gaurd, it's devcon liquid aluminum. search for jeffs (abaz) post on filling the block. everyone seems freaked about the cooling aspect, but i ran it today for a total of an hour parked/driving and the temp didn't move, well, mabye 1/16 of the gauge.. if you leave .200 relief at the top of the cyl, you shouldn't have to worry about hotspots, or overheating..... TANKS JEFF!!!

i decided to reuse the ARP's.... i did the math and found that the ARP's use .25" more threads than the stockers do.

got any pics of the fill job you did? how bout a small write up of what you did on your setup. how deep did you go? wher'd you get your filler? how much was the whole ----. i kno its better then block guard but it is better then posting and how much more boost is it capable of holding?
