Re: $2009 Grassroots Motorsports Build
The old car. Took out the suspension and couldn't move it.... welded in some angle iron to support the rear to get it to the wreckers.
The wheels rubbed the angle iron trying to roll it on the trailer , reversed honda spares... Deep dish drifter look.

Re: $2009 Grassroots Motorsports Build
Last weekend we had a snow storm, and as stupid as it sounds it’s near impossible to get the Corvette out of the garage when there is snow.. So I drank instead.
This weekend I am going to finish up the engine bay. I got some 3x4” roll bar gussets from speedway parts for the corners of the engine bay and a few other places. Mild steel, holes drilled in them and fairly cheap.
Also picked up something like this
I am going to pull the front suspension off of the car and have it powdercoated by a friend, still need to roll the car around. I will molest this until it fits the front frame. 1000 lb rating and best of all it was $23 at Princess auto (the Chinese superstore)
Lastly…
I have had this idea for a while and finally ordered some tires to do it.
Honda safety Spares
110 / 70/13 Avon Scooter tires (spped rated to 110 mph)
For less then $100 I have a set of skinnies for the rear..
Also doing the JD suspension limiters on the rear, a little different, but the same idea. (making them easy to remove)

Re: $2009 Grassroots Motorsports Build
I will take some pics of it tonight and you can let me know if you are still interested in one.. They look pretty damm good to me. rated at 1000 lb and powdercoated too.
As for the car, filled more engine bay holes, started using body Filler. Have the front rad support all done and the pass side strut tower. This job is bullshit, i am never doing it again. Talk about your all time useless mods. I did however seam weld everything up.
Too deep in now to quit.. I should have all this done by next weekend, then fix the rear 1/4 and off to paint.
Picked up a 3" side dump exhaust made for a EG on the weekend (Free)
and a new rear tailgate (rust free) I noticed th eone on mine has been replaced at some point and had some work. The new one (free) is a mint virgin.
Then start giving stuff over to a team member to be powder coated.
Wheels are gonna be Kawsaki Green, as is the valve cover charge pipe and some other brackets.
