it looks to me that any sort of ram air that he could possibly get out of this tiny badly placed scoop, would come out of this gaping hole by the filter. this hole leading to the engine has more area than the scoop thats supposed to feed the engine

Not a mass-produced item, and in terms of NASCAR, the R/D on that wing is probably a huge amount over that $17,000 just for the wing. Take a guess how much it costs to run an F1 series, or a NASCAR season for a year and be competitive..

~200-400mil for F1, $30mil per car for Nascar. $17,000 is cake

Although I 100% agree that that is a gay bar loiterer that paid 1200usd for that thing, the theory is sound.

That region is a high pressure zone relative to the area below the bonnet. The jack ***** are the ones that lift the rear of their bonnet up to let hot air out. They pressurise the area ruining intercooler and radiator flow.

I still think it's camper than a row of tents, but there is a high pressure area there. Consider where you fan/aircon/etc gets its air from? Exactly the same place. With the fan off you sure do get a lot of flow at high speeds don't you....

Anyway, flame away I guess, but if you do, I will be laughing at you :-)

Fred.

I still say if he covers the massive drain hole in the engine bay the car will lose a million hp. Literally a million.
