+1 on that. Having a jerky 8(or 16) "correction" point cheap-o piggyback (well more $$$ than a MS but cheaper than a good PB like a perfect power SMT8 ) wannabe like an AFC would be a LAST choice for FI EMS. Scratch that its not even a piggyback, the AFC was originally meant for people who wanted to upgrade their injectors and was designed around japanese cars. The AFC only sees the computers fuel injector signal, RPM, and MAF, so it really is only guessing at adding fuel based on what it thinks you want ALSO it only has the ability to add MORE fuel to what you allredy have, you cant take away any. The megasquirt is a good option for FI because it uses MAP instead of MAF which is more accurate for an FI setup, it is also has completely programmable fuel and spark curves, so instead of jumping up 8 or 16 points which you have to program, the megasquirt will smoothly utilise a fuel and spark map based on AFR targets and the autotune feature. the only downside is finding base fuel/spark maps (not hard at all), finding AFR target maps (also not hard at all) and having to wire it in (also you need a wideband sensor/computor but 14point7.com has 50 dollar WB02 computers and has a damn good deal for HMT members. look in the sponsor or whatever its called section). And there are plenty of websites where people have full writeups on how they installed and tuned there MS for you to read and work from.

/rant, why do I care so much, i dont even work for them or anything

Megasquirt is definatley a step in the right direction but wiring it into you engine loom is going to be a tall order I would say, there is a Megasquirt based product out there that is also plug&play ie:no engine loom modification required plugs straight into your single/multiplug OE ecu connector, let me know if your intrested, bare in mind it aint as cheap as the homebrew/home build Megasquirt ecu already mentioned.

The kit I am referring to will require you to fabricat/modify you existing manifold and indeed a downpipe, once your over these MAJOR hurdles you should be on a winner. LINK

I'm taking a bit of a easier route in regards to my turbo setup, I'm hoping to get a cituning basic turbo kit which includes a s/s T2 turbo manifold & downpipe along with a remote oil filter, oil cooler and oil feeds to/from turbo, and source all other parts (FMIC, induction pipework, injectors...) separatley, its all a little expensive and I'm looking for a few others who are serious about turboing there car and possibly organise a groupbuy, this way I should be able to get the cost down a little, let me know if you seriously intrested.

I have a Saxo VTS which as you may know is almost identical to a 106GTi, certainly the engine and gearbox
