UK hmt beginner with a shitty french car!
alright guys new to the site, names Sam im 16 from Nottingham England, iv got a Peugeot 106 gti 1.6 dohc 120 bhp, nothing special, i can see its not the norm on this site but iv joined to gain some more knowledge about boosting my car on a budget, I'm handy with a welder and got a fairly good mech mind and fabricating skils, back in the uk on pug106 owners there all gay and don't believe you can turbo a car without spending THOUSANDS, here's my car
Im looking at increasing power by around 60bhp if not more ?
basic parts list i have so far is...
.DIY manifold
.DIY down pipe
.Boost piping
.Intercooler
.T25 turbo
.Thick head gasket and bolts
.Dump valve
.dump valve t piece
.Boost gauge
.Larger injectors from a higher spec car ?
.2.5 bar map sensor
.oil feed and return lines
.mod sump for oil lines
Now management i was thinking a dastek unichip if you know what one is but not really sure what to go for and what would be my best bet on a budget so if you guys could help me ? and add to my list maybe change a few things, give your thoughts on my plans and maybe add some of your own / what you would do, be nice lol! cheers

If you feel like a challenge go full standalone with megasquirt, you an get a build it yourself MS kit from diyautotune.com for like 139 (iirc) I think the hardest part would be installing it into your car, but there are plenty of people who have done it before and are willing to answer questions (i know because they have answered mine )

It appears that your engine has a MAP sensor rather than a MAF, which is a good thing. Like others have said, the biggest question mark with not-particularly-popular models is ECU tuning - but Megasquirt has solved a lot of that issue.
Best of luck!

nice one for the help so megasquirt is my rout for management you think, ther is no one out of the thousands of members and around 40 people on there that have turbos that have made ther own kit there all stock bought eg cituning kits or dp as said above i believe it can be done

Another frenchy owner here, also very close to turboing, my route however is using a mishmash of tried and tested parts, mainly cituning basic turbo kit less the turbo which I have sourced myself (2nd hand Saab T25), I've been reliably told that cituning do indeed base there basic kit around this turbo for a few reasons, firstly this turbo is set to a low 6psi and secondly the flange positions and oil feed are all accessible positions.
If you do decide to turbo keep myself posted on your progress, keen to hear how someone else puts a kit like this together.
There is a new basic turbo on a site I came across, it maybe up your street as the major pipework components require welding to the relavant flanges, let me know if its of intrest to you...
