Turbo CRX from Tijuana (Updated 24/08/07 page 2)
Well, i want to show my low budget homemade setup from Tijuana Mexico:
HF mani-------------$Free
Adapter plate-------$Free (my brother do it)
Solder the plate into the mani---$15
Turbo T3 .48 .60----$10 from a yunkyard no oil leak and little shaft play
DSM intercooler-----$30
DSM 450s------------$20
DSM blow off trade for a TurboXs----$15
Resistor box--------$10
Intake--------------$Free
DSM pipping---------$Free, came in the buy of the intercooler
Chip and a BIN------$20 from Moates
Solder the chip-----$15
Wastegate at 8psi---$Free
Clamps--------------$10
Solder the oil pan--$5
TOTAL---------------$150
I think its a good setup for the prize
Theres my low budget kit
I solder a plate into the HF mani
Jejeje, my $10 yunkyard turbo lol
Heres my homemade oil lines
Theres the turbo installed on the manifold
This is the adapter i made to connect the piping
Adapter installed on turbo
This is my sleeper intercooler
Oil pan drilled and installed
DSM 450s ready to be installed
Resistor box wired
The pipping
Part of the pipping using a AEM intake with IAT on it
Turbo Xs, reaaalllyyy loooouuuudddd

nice work, cant believe that you got a decent turbo for 10$, what car did it come out of, and what is that stuff in the oil pan, and i hope your oil line dont leak on you, but nice work.

The turbo came from a Thunderbird, and that stuff in the oil pan i think its the tube i solder on it, then for the oil line, that oil line came from some kind of industrial machine but i chopped the therminals and put the turbo ones, this oil line supports 3000psi and have some kind of iron betwen, it was hard to chop it, believe me.
Great job.That is a solid super low budget kit.You should put a air filter on there though.
