Default Turbo CRX from Tijuana (Updated 24/08/07 page 2)

Well, i want to show my low budget homemade setup from Tijuana Mexico:

HF mani-------------$Free
Adapter plate-------$Free (my brother do it)
Solder the plate into the mani---$15
Turbo T3 .48 .60----$10 from a yunkyard no oil leak and little shaft play
DSM intercooler-----$30
DSM 450s------------$20
DSM blow off trade for a TurboXs----$15
Resistor box--------$10
Intake--------------$Free
DSM pipping---------$Free, came in the buy of the intercooler
Chip and a BIN------$20 from Moates
Solder the chip-----$15
Wastegate at 8psi---$Free
Clamps--------------$10
Solder the oil pan--$5

TOTAL---------------$150

I think its a good setup for the prize

nice work, cant believe that you got a decent turbo for 10$, what car did it come out of, and what is that stuff in the oil pan, and i hope your oil line dont leak on you, but nice work.

The turbo came from a Thunderbird, and that stuff in the oil pan i think its the tube i solder on it, then for the oil line, that oil line came from some kind of industrial machine but i chopped the therminals and put the turbo ones, this oil line supports 3000psi and have some kind of iron betwen, it was hard to chop it, believe me.

im nnot taking about the line itself but the end connectors, those clamps might not work so well, you never know tho,

looks great, id just paint the valvecover and charge piping somthing other than ricer yellow. Add more boost!

Great job.That is a solid super low budget kit.You should put a air filter on there though.

Yes you should.... I used to go to TJ every other weekend, and the engine bay would get dirtbag filthy in no time, that and theres fucken rocks and ---- all over the road all the time.

What colony (colonia) are you from?

I live on Colonia Francisco Villa near Playas de Tijuana, and soon i need to put the air filter
