Too much boost from T28/T3
Hi guys,
firstly this is a cool forum that I have found to be very informative. im abit new to the whole turbo setup, but willing to try to get it done right.
I have a Toyota 1.6 4afe turbo, the problem is that there is too much boost around 1 to 1.2 bar which is way too much for the motor as its still stock.
after taking it in for tuning the management the tuner recommended that I get the downpipe made bigger to cater for air flow from the actuator port(the hole under the exhaust flange that's covered by the actuator flap) but even after doing that the turbo is still boosting to high.
ive got the actuator rod adjusted to almost full length, the flap on the inside just closes with little to no tension on the actuator. ive tested the actuator with a pump that has a gauge and the actuator starts to open at around 0.3-0.4 bar, it opens full at around 0.7 bar
I cant seem to think of any other ways to drop boost, please any advice or ideas will be highly appreciated as to what I can try to solve this issue.
thanks in advance guys
