blow threw carb aint bad alot of guys run them and they work good though they can be a lil picky with weather changes and altitude changes.

fast is a veryy nice system but carries a big price tag.

when i first started my camaro build i bought a megasquiirt 1 v 2.2 system for 311 bucks. well prior to this i had no experiance tunning efi. the install took me about 7 hours. and i had the car up and running pretty good in about 2 days. if u have the patience and dont mind reading megasquirt is deffinatly a nice system to use.megasquirt 3 with the msx expasion board will do anything any of the super high priced stand alone units will do.hell even a megasuirt 1 or 2 will do the same stuff.

megasquirt also has awsome support if u run into any problems or need help with anything.

Yep, that's why I love megasquirt! We're running MS2 on our MR2. For how much it costs and does compaired to other big-name EMS systems, and considering how capable MS is, I don't get why more people don't go MS. It's like they think they need to spend over a cerain amount of money or it doesn't work...lol. And it's open-source! What more do you want? lol There are many excellent tuning programs out there for it, one of the best right now is tuner studio. I was blown away when we first started messing around with it. Very powerful and user-friendly.

I'm interested to see this blow-through carb setup when you have it up and running. Post pics!!!

You want a turbo big enough?

Call freightliner

I have some pics of turbos that would be overkill for your setup

I was actually talking to a friend that drives a dump truck. He was checking with some mechanics for me. lol The question is whats the price tag on one ? lol Im looking to make about 900 or so, and be able to crank it up to about 11 or 12 when Im ready. I know turbo's I can do it with. Im looking for one I can afford to do it with though. lol Do you know any particular ones that would be good off a big truck ?

I am going with EFI eventually. Im going to learn about the turbo's first though. Then the EFI. That way Im not trying to learn 2 things at once. lol

I know someone who is making over 500 WHP with a turbo 4 cylinder with a holset turbo from a Cummins. I don't see why a twin setup could be used to make 1k

Why not consider Holset turbos. They're inexpensive, OEM factory turbos and quality, and have plenty to choose from in sizes, etc.
