Any of you know what can make a my rusty iron manifold and exhaust turbo housing look new agian? They are both covered with surface rust and I was wondering what solvent liquid can make it look new again? Any input would be appreciated.

Well i know that there are a few different types of liquid rust converters out there. i've never tried them so i don't know how well they work, but you can get them at Napa or some other auto parts stores. Look into sandblasting it or bead blasting. If you know someone who works with the stuff, chances are they could just blast it up real quick and won't charge anything.

sandblast it....and have them paint it with high temp paint....creamic isnt recommended cuz it could melt and liquify and get into the turbo itself....

Now when you say it could get into the turbo where do you paint it? All over inside and out cause if you paint just the outside how would it get inside? I'm getting my IHI exhausting bead blasted and just wondering what to use paint it and how long is the paint gonna last if I used the "high temp" spraypaint?
