Are lightened flywheels worth it on Civics

If it's your DD, skip the light flywheel. The ***-pain of 99/100 times you shift normally or pull away from a stop normally is not worth the 1/100 times you launch it and slam away and gain that extra 1% performance.
Some guys will say you've got sand in your vag if you don't have one and "it's not that bad"... trust me... they suck on the street for going back and forth to work.
A decent "non-ebay" quality flywheel costs as much as about 20 other performance parts I can name that will give you just as much of a performance increase without the hassle.

itr flywhels are a nice compromise for the street. personally, i like the better throttle response from the lighter weight, but i've had one of the aftermarket flywheels (8 or 9 lbs i believe) on a turbo ls,and an itr on the stock b17 ive got now, they were both daily drivers. The aftermarket was a bit of a pain in the *** when you had to shift constantly, but the itr really isnt bad, and the difference in acceleration and throttle response is noticeable. For a DD, I'd go ITR. That's all i'll be using from now on, no matter the build.
edit: stock was about 19 lbs i believe, and itr is about 15...
