Default B16 Hitachi

Hello,

I am new on forum, so hello to everybody

I have question, i search but nothing. Does anyone here use a hitachi HT18s turbo from fc3s S4 or S5 model ? On B series engine ?

I know it is large turbo, they compare to a 1.0 A/R hot side and T04B cold side..

I have this turbo and i am going to put this turbo on B16 and see how matches to the engine, but If someone has experience, I'd love to hear it..

Thanks,

you could use it if lag is not a propleme to you. i'm not an expert put from the spec it looks like a laggy turbo.... i'd say go for it. and tell us what you get..good luck..

It's big but I don't know for sure if it's laggy. Good thing is that it's twin scroll turbo and I'm working on tubular twin scroll manifold so I hope it will help to spool sooner but not to soon

Sure thing I do, thanks!

OK.. Boost start at 3000rpm and I get at 4000-4500 rpm a 0.40bar, that is only at 25% open throttle. Peak boost that I has is 0.51bar. But set boost controller at low setting..

I cant stay long in boost because of map sensor check engine... How deal with that ? I have 4 check valves and i still have that problem..

what size your injectors are..?
if you use 370 and above you don't even need the check valves or the missing link (they both do the same job) .

i did not try the AEM FIC ..but why don't you chip your ecu and tune it and call it a day.

you could buy a chipped ecu with base map throw.. Phearable.net - Electronic Fuel Injection Tuning Solutions - Hondata, Neptune, Crome, Uberdata, Ectune, AEM, Honda Tuning, Widebands, Fuel Pumps, Intercoolers, Turbos, LS/VTEC, ECU Chipping, Chipped Ecus, P28
