Default Any boosted d15b7's?

Been planning on boosting for a while now, always assumed that the b7 would take similar boost to the z6 (don't know why) but now i'm starting to hear that its got weak rods etc...

So what's the score? How much boost can i run on this w/ good tuning? And also on a base map for now?

Has anyone else done it?

It can take 9 psi daily with no problems...I ran 15psi on my D15B2 block, but I tried to blow it up and it didn't
I wouldn't go past 10 psi ...depending on the turbo

I raped a B7 on a daily basis. I was feeding it any where from 10-14psi on a .42/.48 T3. It liked it.

At the end of my session with the B7 I had an unfortunate thing happen with a blockguard, but I still beat the hell out of it while it had a blown head gasket. I'm surprised it took the beating so well, but it was a well taken care of motor. This was all on a 100,000 mile motor.

Tune it good, change your oil, and don't be too much of a dumbass and it will last.

Lol wise words mine's hitting 90k now, i'll get a compression test done to check that its ok should be though. I think i'll run whatever the wastegate holds right now then when i have cash i'll turn it up til it blows! Then get me a proper d16

Cheers

I ran my boosted d15b7 for about a year at 10psi with fmu, afc hack, then finally uberdata tuned. That suckker took major beatings seen the track once and ran a fairly decent time at 14.8 at 94mph. other than going through cheap *** autozone clutches like 3 times the motor never gave me any problems. So don't be afraid too boost it. Just get propper fuel and tune and you should be good.

What size disk in that FMU? I don't understand why people use FMU's with 450cc injectors and an AFC. That's way too much fuel, unless you're running a 1:1 FMU.

i think he meant he upgraded from a fmu to the afc hack and then to uberdata
