Yea my nissan TT was easy to mod. Do you know if I can use the crane 2 bar MAP with their timing retarding and keep my MAS? I figure I could use the Crane Timing Retard Control with their MAP. Seems plausible. What do you think? Just hook a vacuum line to it.

id imagine so. if you dont have a provision in your intake or somthing, a simple vacuum line to the MAP sensor from a vac/boosted source (Brakebooster or intake manifold) should be fine, and then a tune of couse lol

Well i finally did a boost leak test on the charge side and low and behold i found a couple of leaks. the BOV mounting flange was a big one. i could hear that damn thing all the way form the back of the car lol i tighened it down and its much better. i also had a smaller leak out of a coupler that had a failing clamp so i fixed that too.

I also adjusted the BOV pressure spring. i tightened it up so that its not giving as much at idle so that its not wide open when im idling. i havnt got to test that theory yet to make sure its still release when i let up off the throttle but im sure it will.

I also changed the boost reference signal to the compressor housing. id figure it might help with initial boosting. i might be boosting lower but at least the wastegate will be much more responsive and its only seeing boost instead of a long vacuum. i still have the long reference line to see if that is still needed, but its staying at the compressor unless i change somthing else.

i also ran the pre pump oil return line under the axle but over the sway bar. i figure this is a slightly straighter path without the huge hump over the axle. it still goes up about 5 " or so but then goes back down and then slightly up into the pump. but its much straghter compared to before lol
I also noticed that i dont have oil going into the charge piping side anymore. i still have oil come out of the exhaust side though :/ but im thinking thats from when the cars sitting for a bit and the return line might be letting some of the oil back in at night. im thinking of putting a check valve on the return side.

well, i might be able to sneak into the dyno and get a final tune on it finally! would be nice. gotta talk the wife into letting me today lol

well some updates,
After switching a BOV for testing, i tighted it down so it doesnt open at all lol just to see if it holds boost. it did lol. ive adjusted the BOV so that it actually opens and i stop getting that "shuu shuu shuu..." sound after i let go of the throttle quickly.

i installed a NSX manual boost controller and low and behold I GOT BOOST!!!!! lol saw 4psi on the low side of it. so heres what im thinking, alothough im sure i have some leaks still but not hemorging like before, im thinking that the wastgate spring wasnt holding enough and needed some extra umph lol the controller is helping to keep the gate closed longer.
Iv also noticed that when i rev the motor in idle, i actaully see the vac go from -12ish to -5ish. so im actually getting precharge spool so its holding!!! lol
also got some tbolt clamps to replace some temp worm gear clamps that i had to use to replace some improper size clamps that where causing charge side leaks.

so, if i can dial in the boost controller and BOV by firday, i might beable to get a final tune donw, and to get that damn SES light off. tuner needs to turn the MAF off completly.

so some interesting tid bits today:
i took the car in to have the cats removed and replaced with OBX resonators...

Found a couple issues with the cats. the passenger side cat was partially clogged...
the drivers side cat was EMPTY!!!

Car sounds and feels soo much better. gotta take the car back to touch up a couple welds on the drivers side so still no boost, but im getting it fixed. probably gotta get it fixed next friday.

Also reclocked the turbo since the tuning shop bumped it on the rack and messed up the alignment of the turbo :/ but nothing too bad. just lost a clamp thursday when i hit a bump that i driven before and noticed i didnt have any boost again lol all better now though.
now just got to get the exhaust finished up.

Great thread!

If you don't mind me asking where did you get the "Sts style T4 header pipe with 44mm wastegate port"?

Thanks.

sorry for the late reply
for starters got the sts style header pipe form a ebay member that makes those sts style rear mount clone kits. the 44mm flange was welded on later that came with the 44mm wastegate I got.

As for the the car now. car makes 9 psi damn near reliable everytime. Also finally got the water/meth kit working using a simple boost pressure switch set for 7psi. using the super blue -20 washer fluid. its roughly 30%meth/70%water which is fine for me for now. when I go up north I can get alittle more with -30 washerfluid.
Car still on 2nd initial tune lol and its pulls light a fright train still lol I break traction going into 2nd gear and full boost.
Also had a little scare that turned out to be a simple fix. I was experiencing super rich running condition with anything over part throttle for sometime. found out the old IAT sensors plug kept coming out and making the car go into a super rich condition to protect the motor. sucked though cause It did it when I went to the track to test the car out. first pass was a simple make sure everything was ok run. spun the whole way done almost lol damn sumitomos lol second pass had the car fall right on its face I thought I broke something. limped It home and then limped it around for a week until I noticed that damn pig tail. stupid little things.
now all I need is a final tune and up the boost to 12psi and a dyno number and a track run to verify the results.

so far on the street I get about 2-4ish psi in first at around 3200rpm and then it goes up form there. 2nd gear pretty much is full boost at 9 for now.

Anyway, heres some pics ive had of my latest prototype for the over the wheel pipe.
After I had an exhaust shop bend it into place, I finalized the fit myself. I massaged the pipes a bit to conform to the wheelwell. It fits pretty well. I need to support it with something so that its alittle more secure. High temp painted it to help conceal it a bit. I need to adjust it. its touching the tire when I turn it to the right alittle.

that part that peaks out on the front is the only part that touches. im gonna modify the bump mounting bracket so it can fit the pipe better.
