well got my turbo slightly clocked on the compressor side so its not draggin on the ground lol but now i need to get the wholel thing up a little more. i have a naggin suspition that im gonn ahve to put my stock rear spring back in if i cant get this thing tucked up higher. i also need to figure out the front alittle to help clear road irregularities so i dont scrap on the t-bolt clamps so often. im thinking im gonna have to rotate them to the other side of the pipes so it clears more.

also went to the tuning shop and might hav emy car tuned tomorrow... a bit nervous... thats alot of cash for a tune. tuning shop wants $700

Glad to see your progress. Man that tune is high huh? Where did you get all your piping? Same place? I figure if I order the same lengths and bends it should fit the same way on my car.

Peace

for the piping i got a little here and there. a couple of cheap kits with alot of 45 and 90 degrees and then a 5' aluminum section to stick under the car. the staight section is actaully a thicker form of aluminum so it can take alittle more abuse to scrapping ocasionally

And tunning has commenced.... shooting for about 500ish but anything over that will be nice
10lbs spring is in, so id image with the intercooler, piping, and any boost lose due to any leaking (hope not) 7-8psi will probably be the visual boost the motor will see. ill later get a turbosmart manual boost controller to up it to a true 10psi.
60lbs injectors are in and GM 2BAR map is in.
So now the waiting game. car will be Speed Density tuned with 2 bar operating system with HP tuners on a Dynojet.

well crap.... cars half way tuned. its tuned to run in SD and with the 60lbs injectors and 2bar map but cars not building any boost. like not even 1psi! so now the boost leak hunt starts that and i need to clean up an oil leak issue in the charge pipe its leaking like a beotch. got oil coming out by the intercooler and BOV to name a couple plus now i got to replace a pipe since i crushed it with the tbolt clamp
car runs great outta boost but now i gotta find the leaks. gonna check the wastegate too to make sure i didnt pinch the diaphram when i switched the springs

Man, I hate to hear about all your issues. So you went with a MAP sensor instead of a MAF sensor? Any reason? Hope you get your leaks fixed soon! I am assuming I can go with a LS1 MAF sensor for my v6. Boy I still have a lot to learn. But I am taking my time. I did get my turbo in the mail as well as the boost gauge and Air Fuel Ratio gauge. When I boosted my 300ZX TT to ~500 RWHP I used the stock MAF and Fuel pump, those cars had a stock fuel pump good to 700+ HP and also upgraded injectors to 555 cc's ,bigger turbos, and an ecu flash.

well the issues are slowly being ironed out. i went sith a 2bar map so i can just do speed density and be rid of the MAF. i plan on running water/methanol so unless i put the nozzle furth up stream, the MAF gets messed with when you run with methanol.

before

and a very much better after

I also did some adjusting... well i jacked the turbo op and then zip stripped the intake side of the turbo to the old exhaust hanger lol gained alot of clearance. im gonna see if i can get a stainless steel version on the intake side so i can have a hook weled on it to help support the turbo better

the oil return looks so much better now now since its higher i have to take out some more pre-pump return hose lol im thinking im gonna run it under the axle now but not completly sure. that or run it striaght over the top of the axle. im also looking into a stronger pump. a turbowerks is definitly one of my to do list

Man, Glad to see your progress. I have been doing some research. Are you using a crane cam 2 bar MAP sensor? Are you using the crane cam TRC-2 Timing Controller. They appear to work together. Would I have to do away with my MAS to use the MAP or can I use the TRC-2 Timing Controller by itself with the MAS?
