Default .63 /.60 too big?

hi i have a d16z2 engine ( EDM sohc) i have a garret .38 / .42 turbo.
the turbo spools 2750 rpm till 5500. its a little to small.
no i can get a big turbo for only 50 bucks including 3"downpipe, and a probably an EGT sensor.

is the .63 turbine / .60 compressor to big for my d16z2 engine?

I also have an IHI RHB5 VL4 turbo. it came of an Alfa Romeo 155 2.0 TD its alot smaller, but i cannot see any a/r ratios.
ill probably use this turbo for a VW golf 3 with a 75hp 1.6 engine.

any sugestions?

if that 60/63 is in working condition for 50 grab that ******...it will be a little on the big side imho but it will work. I had a 60/48 on a sohc that i liked, im sure the 63 would be a great choice too

the 60/63 is a great turbo for the z6 and even the y8. but for some reason im thinking the z2 is more like the a6. i don't know anything about the d16z2 but think i might have read somewhere that its pretty similar to the d16a6. if thats the case i would use the RHB5, i think that turbo would give both benefits of fast spooling and hold the power longer. thats just my opinion though. i would still get that turbo for $50 if you can, then if you want to upgrade later you will already have it.

thanx for the quick reply's

the d16a6 is the same as d16z2. botch SOHC nonvtec, and about 112 hp. d16a6 = USDM. d16z2 is EDM.
its a CRX si engine. all the 1.6 civics in the netherlands came with an d16z2 engine. (or b16 for Vtec).

it is a turbine .63 and compressor .60 so its a .63/.60 not a 60/63 or doesnt that matter?

@Darkelvis :
THATS A BAD *** MANIFOLD, and engine !
I have a DIY ramhorn with external WG (4psi now, and Adjustable)

@ what RPM does boost kick in with d16 + 63/60 setups? 5000 +?

about the ihi. i think its to small, althoug its a RHB5 (ballbearing turbo?) its a vl4 type, that came of an 145, 145,155 alfa, all 2.0 Turbo Diesel. As far as i can remember the boost startet at 3000-3500. ( we had a 146 2.0 TD years ago)
The internalWG is set @ 1,2 BAR !! way to much for me, but I have an external WG so that doesnt matter thoug.

on my a6 the 60/48 was at full boost by 4k, now on the 60/63 I heard that is 800-1000 rpms later, but that also depends on your exhaust, and other things. Just run it and you will love it. It will pull like a **** on the top end!!!!!!!!!

i had a 48/60 on my old y8 setup and it was full boost by about 4500, not sure how much longer it will take to spool your 60/63 since your motor has a little less power then that motor.

It all depends on his manifold (tube/log/or top mount), exhaust size, and chargepipes/intercooler, and ect.......

i have a DIY ramhorn manifold with an external adjustable WG (38mm valve.)
ford transit intercooler. 50mm cold side, 70mm hotside (going to change that to 60mm).

ofcourse i will take the turbo!
i also think it wil pull like a sick ****. since all the stock power starts at +4500 rpm and the turbo will spool at 4500 rpm. im soo looking forweward to the power ^^
